Today, I went hunting. Armed with my camera and a bottle of water, I tiptoed quietly through the trails of Guajome Park. Taking care not to scare away the rabbits and crickets. I feel a little like Katniss in Hunger Games. We’re both hunting to survive, except she’s hunting prey and humans and I’m hunting locations for clients.
As I’m looking through my viewfinder, I am admiring the landscape that will be the backdrop of a future shoot. But something more stands out. The plants are reaching for their close up. So many times I have overlooked them, focused only on people and making them shine. But today, they have the spotlight. They are my main subjects.
