Some things I learned and would like to share about taking photos on a boat:
The wind... there’s no use controlling it. So work with it. At times, the wind was a magnificent accessory and other times a diva.
No shade and bright sun…being out in the water means no shade. Which means consciously adjusting camera settings so the whites of the frame don’t blow out. However, in the new era of fine art photography, over exposure may enhance the mood of a photo.
Constant state of motion… there was a lot of waiting for the waves to die down before we had steady enough ground to go out onto the bow. But it’s nothing like being on solid ground because when Tony and Angela were stationary, they really weren’t. Resulting in soft focus photos that help make skin glow and look flawless.
Brace yourself!...there are some additional hazards when on a boat. Like falling off the boat when that unsuspecting wave hits. Extreme tilting. Being knocked out by one of the sails. Water damaging equipment. Nausea. And having way toooooooo much fun.
holding on...no man overboard on my watch.
Angela...rawr.
There goes that wind...beeeautifullll!!!!
Their wedding is going to be so elegant. But gotta wait till next year.
They are a gorgeous couple and these pictures are magical.
