Rettmann

Before there was the website and the blog, to promote my work, there were people who believed and supported me, sight unseen. How could they stand behind something they couldn’t see? From the bottom of my heart, I love them for that. I didn’t have anything tangible to show people my developing work which left only the words of the people who believed in me to do the convincing.

The Rettmanns, they were strangers. We had never met. Never exchanged an email. And didn’t even share the same area code. Our only common thread was that we shared a close friend. And through her, we met for the first time during the Rettmanns’ family photos. It was kinda like a blind date. So I wanted even more to impress them and to not let my friend down.

Three shoots in, I’m beginning to think there’s a connection beyond photographer and client. Shhh. Don’t tell anyone but it happens frequently. And why not? I’m photographing some of their most intimate moments. It’s hard not to be friends after such a heightened state of trust. So be sure to include my invitation to the next family BBQ. I like ribs.

Ashlee, TJ, and Avyn are about to welcome an addition to their family, Paxton.

Paxton, your parents are HOTTTT!

Everyone is waiting for you...

And you're going to have the best big sister in the world.  Hands down!

Paxton, you're not here yet, but we already know you're gonna be AWESOME!

Ashlee you are one of the most gorgeous mothers I've ever seen.  TJ is one lucky guy and Avyn and Paxton are so lucky to have you as Mommy.

Stay tuned for Paxton's shoot...
