happy holidays

Tonight, while driving to the coast for dinner, a blanket of fog rolled in blocking what was left of a pink southern California sunset.  It was a dark, thick kind of fog you might have mistaken as smoke from a nearby fire.  I drove into the fog and in my rearview mirror, I could see the fog’s talons reaching down the 76 like a theatrical curtain.  And do you know what was going through my mind at the time? “Crap!… I should really blog.”  And like that, ladies and gentleman, a metaphor was born (J would be so proud, he’s full of multilevel metaphors).  Nothing like an ominous fog to remind you of your looming projects.

For the past month and a half, I’ve been shooting.  Shooting so much that my shooting finger’s muscles have muscles.  I dare you to challenge me to a finger wrestle.  In all seriousness, we were able to deliver family photos to several families before the holiday greeting card rush.  Pat on back. And now I’m back on the Qwerty keys frantically pounding away to share some Lucid work.

This is Dawn, Aubrey, and Nick.  Aubrey, you're beautiful like mommy.

Someone has someone wrapped around her little finger...

Love birds in PDA.

I love the lighting in this shot.  Hard to believe it rained within ten minutes of our departure.

Thanks so much to Nick, Dawn, and little Aubrey for hanging out with us.  And special thanks to J, for teaching Aubrey how to say "Hi."

Happy Belated Holidays Everyone.
