blurry things

At a young age, I learned to entertain myself by crossing my eyes.  My vision blurred and I would pretend to be in an alternate universe.  My mom didn’t like it.  She worried my eyes would get stuck but what else did I have to do if she wanted me to sit quietly?  iPads where at least another two decades away.  Did I just date myself?

Well things have been blurry lately.  And not because my eyes are crossed.  Life is presenting itself all at once, quickly, and without clarity.  Suffocation may be a bit dramatic to describe this moment.  But inspiration is overflowing, and 24 hours in a day is not enough to catch such fleeting creativity.  And still, I find blur so beautiful.
